Lecturer of Spanish.  3-year renewable, starting Fall 2000.
Requirements:  Master's Degree in Spanish and evidence of native/near
native fluency in Spanish and English.  Experience in teaching
college-level Spanish; demonstrated knowledge of and experience in
communicative and/or content based instruction, testing and assessment.
Desired:  Ph.D. or ABD in Spanish and/or supervisory experience.
Duties:  Teach three lower-division courses each semester; assist
Program Director with the coordination and supervision of language
instruction and preparation of testing materials.  Submit letter of
application, academic transcripts, CV, three letters of recommendation,
complete sets of teaching evaluations from three courses, and one
example of a test prepared by the candidate, to: Dr. David William
Foster, Chair; Dept. of Languages and Literatures; Arizona State
University; Box 870202; Tempe, AZ 85287-0202.  Application materials
must be postmarked April 21, 2000; and every two weeks thereafter until
filled.
