The Department of Foreign Language Education at Bogazici University in
Istanbul, Turkey seeks applicants for Visiting Lecturer and permanent
faculty positions in Foreign Language Education beginning in the
2000-2001 academic year.

Responsibilities: The individuals selected will teach theoretical and
applied courses in the area of Foreign Language Education for
undergraduate students.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctoral degree in TEFL and/or
Applied Linguistics.

Program Description: The Department of Foreign Language Education offers
an undergraduate program in English Language Teacher Education. The
basic components of this program consist of English language
development, linguistics, and professional courses including foreign
language teaching methodology. Through elective courses, students are
provided with opportunities to pursue individual interests in various
cultural and professional subjects. Thus, the objective of the program
is to help students to achieve adequate mastery of the English Language
and to provide them with knowledge and sufficient practical skills for
teaching English as a foreign language.
