The Institute of Romance Languages at the University of Basel is seeking
a collaborator to hold a 50% assistant position starting 1. March 2001
(or according to agreement) for a duration of 3 years.

Job profile:
-	implementation of multimedia environments for web-based university
instruction
-	development of computer-based teaching materials
-	advisory activity with regard to web editing

Requirements:
-	experience in creating web-sites and in implementing group-work
functions (e.g. forum, CSCW) or in handling student evaluation programs
(e.g. Webcity) - on Macintosh
-	good knowledge of French and German; good notions of English
-	readiness to collaborate closely with the people who are responsible
for the conceptual development of the teaching material
-	flexibility, ability to work autonomously and readiness to learn new
tools
-	University diploma or equivalent education
-	basic notions in linguistics or teaching experience welcome
