We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was

would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

The survey I am doing is for a research paper on Regional
Dialects. The survey lists 15 descriptions of words, what I need you
to do is give me the word(s) that you use for what is being
described. Along with that I will need to know where you are from so
that I can determine if there is a correlation between where you live
and the words you use for the different things. Thank you so much for
your time! If you are interested please e-mail me at

Dear all,

I teach generative phonology to beginners at the
department of French. As primary references we usually
use handbooks such DELL (1973), Kenstowicz and
Kisseberth (1979, 1980), Schane (1973), Kenstowicz
(1995).
Unfortunately some of my students do not read
English and they would like to know if there are such
books in Spanish.
Does anybody know if such books exist?
  Thank you
