Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Phonetics and Phonology at University
of Ulster



The University seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in
Phonetics and Phonology at its Jordanstown campus.  The
appointee will
contribute to the further development of research programmes in
Linguistics and Phonetics. PLEASE NOTE THE CLOSING DATE
FOR
APPLICATIONS IS 20 OCTOBER 2000.

Applicants for appointment at lecturer level must have a first or
second class honours degree or higher degree in Phonetics, Linguistics
or a cognate area and must have experience of lecturing in
Phonetics/Phonology and managing course delivery at higher education
level. Applicants for appointment as Senior Lecturer must have a
doctorate in Phonetics/Linguistics or a cognate area and at least 5
years experience of lecturing in Phonetics/Phonology and have made
significant contribution to the field of Phonetics/Phonology.
Applicants for appointment at either level must have research
experience in Phonetics/Phonology or a cognate area, publications of
high standing and be eligible for inclusion in 2001 RAE.

Salary  :               £18,731 - £30,967 - Lecturer
                        £32,510 - £36,740 - Senior Lecturer
