Appl Fest 2001
Independent Activities Period Workshop on Applicative Constructions and
Related Issues
MIT, Jan. 27-28, 2001.
This workshop is intended to provide an opportunity for informal discussion
of data and issues connected to the analysis of applicative constructions
and related constructions involving the "little-v" system, e.g.,
causatives. The presentations will include a mix of invited talks and
comments and talks chosen through this call.
Please send 1-page abstracts (with an additional page for examples and
references) via e-mail to Alec Marantz (marantz at mit.edu) and Léa Nash
(LeaNash at compuserve.com), either as a Word attachment or in plain text
within the body of the e-mail message (please ask in advance about
alternative modes of electronic submission). Abstract deadline: Nov.
20th. Abstracts are for 20 minute presentations, with 10 additional
minutes for discussion.
Please indicate with your abstract whether your university will provide you
with travel funds if you are explicitly invited to participate in this
workshop in some capacity other than speaker (e.g., as commentator or
session chair).
