Subject:  Language Testing Coordinator at Montclair State U, NJ USA

The Language Testing Coordinator (LTC) will be in charge of
placement procedures for all languages currently offered at the
University--ESL, French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian and Spanish,
and any others that may require placement procedures in the future; for
example, American Sign Language, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese.

The LTC will supervise Graduate Assistants and Testing Proctors
who administer placement exams. LTC will work with the Departments to
establish (and periodically review) appropriate criteria and procedures for
the placement of students within each program.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Masters Preferred, B.A. in any language-related field including
Education, Foreign Languages and/or English as a Second Language.
Strong organizational and communicative skills.

Successful experience working in academic settings and working
with people from diverse backgrounds preferred.

Computer skills including data entry, database queries, and
database management.

Salary Range: $35,690 - $53,550
Anticipated Start Date: January 3, 2001
