Subject: Searching for an English to/from Vietnamese Translator

Hello,
I'm currently learning Vietnamese in independent study. I've looked quite a
bit for a good translator but most seem to be bundles of 30 or more
languages. I would gladly pay the same cost for one very good translator
focusing on Vietnamese and English alone. I'm basically teaching myself so
sound would be a big plus, preferably with the
southern pronunciations. Ability to run on a Mac as well as PC would also
be very helpful. If you know of a good one that doesn't exactly fit my
description I'd like to know anyway. On another note, I've tried many fonts
with Vietnamese roman character support but they do not have all the
characters for some reason. Please send any suggestions to
scotthu37 at hotmail.com. Thanks a lot,
Scott Huynh

Hi. I'm a writer working on a film treatment about scenarios for the future, 2000-3000
AD. I'm interested in how language might evolve and change in the future, how people
might write and talk.... Can anyone direct me to any articles on this subject or to
any linguists who might work/speculate in this area? I'm unsure where to start....

I'd appreciate any pointers. Please contact me off the list.

Thanks,
David
