Con el fin de impulsar el intercambio tecnologico y favorecer el
encuentro entre los investigadores y empresas de nuestro pais dedicados a
la tecnologia del habla, la Universidad de Sevilla y la Universidad de
Granada organizan las I JORNADAS EN TECNOLOGIA DEL HABLA.

Se invita a los interesados a presentar una comunicacion oral, poster o
demostracion de sistema antes del 1 de octubre de 2000. En cualquier caso
deberan presentar un resumen de la actividad a desarrollar que no exceda
300 palabras.

Although formal pragmatics has a long tradition, it has generally
been in the shadow of formal semantics. But recently there has
been a rapid progress in the field, as witness the development of
new approaches such as:

    - Optimality theory (OT)
    - Game and decision Theory
    - Theory of distributed Systems
    - Logic-based approaches
    - Extensions of dynamic semantics
    - Extensions of classical pragmatic approaches

This workshop  offers an opportunity for the discussion of new
approaches to formal pragmatics.  We invite submissions related
but not limited to the following topics:

    - Optimality and interpretation
    - Information and relevance
    - Game theory and communication
    - Conversational implicature
    - Presupposition
    - Focus
    - Information update in dialogue
    - Dialogue acts and their representation
