Assistant Professor of German, full-time, tenure-track, beginning
September 1, 2001.

The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent in hand by date
of appointment, fluency in German and English, and a strong commitment
to research and teaching, course design and supervision at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. Knowledge of Russian and ability to
work in Slavic languages a definite asset.

Desired expertise and interest in one or more of the following areas:
second language acquisition, CAI, education and industrial software
applications, graduate instructional training. The salary range is
commensurate with qualifications and experience. The current floor for
Assistant Professor is $41,116.
