Subject:  Japanese language use in South and Central America

Does anyone know of any research on Japanese language contact
(language maintenance and shift; dialect contact; code-switching,
borrowing, other structural consequences of contact, etc) among the
Japanese diaspora communities in any of the following countries: Cuba,
Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Australia, New Zealand,
Canada?

We'll produce a summary of what we find!
