The Linguistics Association for SADC (South African Development Community)
Universities (LASU) has just inaugurated its own webpage at:

     http://www.african.gu.se/lasu/

LASU's main aim is to foster cooperation with existing SADC structure
by contributing to social development in the region through research
in linguistics and language education, and to promote collaboration
and coordination of research resources through the sharing of
research materials between teachers and researchers.

LASU was established in November 1984 by the representatives from
SADC universities. The current member states of SADC include Angola,
Botswana, Congo-Kinshasa, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique,
Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and
Zimbabwe.

Subject: split-linguist - Unpack digest messages from the LINGUIST mailing list

Hello,

I'd like to share with other LINGUIST readers a small utility program
I wrote. It takes a LINGUIST digest and splits it into multiple email
messages. I have found it useful as an incoming mail filter on my
Unix account. (The output of the program works particularly well with
threading features of mail readers such as Mutt.)

The program, "split-linguist", is self-documented and available at
http://www.digitas.harvard.edu/~ken/linguist/split-linguist

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!
