University of Stuttgart

The Department of English is seeking to fill a chair in English
Linguistics.

Applicants should be conversant in theoretical, applied and historical
linguistics of the English language.

Responsibilities of the position include the teaching of contemporary
and historical linguistics for BA, MA and teacher training degree
candidates.  Additionally, possibilities exist for cooperative
research with the other modern language departments and with the
Institute of Computational Linguistics.
