Subject:  Historical Discourse Linguistics - 2002

ORGANIZATION IN DISCOURSE II: The Historical Perspective

Announcing an international conference on historical discourse
linguistics and pragmatics to be held in Turku, Finland, August 7-11,
2002.  The invited speakers are Laurel Brinton, Andreas Jucker,
Françoise Salager-Meyer, and Irma Taavitsainen.

An advance notice for the conference has been posted at

The chairman of the Organizing Committee is Risto Hiltunen, Professor of
the English Department at the University of Turku.

The First Circular and a Call for Papers will be published in the summer
of 2001. Please contact us to be included in our mailing list.
