The Georg-August-University in Goettingen (Germany) invites
applications for an acting professor (English Linguistics) at the
Department of English for one semester from 1 April 2001.

Salary will be paid on a C3 basis.

Applicants are expected to take full responsibility for the teaching
program of the Linguistics section of the department, which puts
special emphasis on the theory of grammar (syntax, morphology,
phonology). The successful applicant will also be in charge of the
department's practical language section.

The prerequisites for appointment as acting professor are laid down in
§ 51 of the Lower Saxony University Law. More detailed information
will be given on request.
