We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

The LINGUIST Network

I am seeking research on Freudian Slips in Sign Language. If there is a
significant response, I will post a summary.

Subject: Exceptionless Phonological Opacity

I'm doing research on phonological opacity (of the type seen in Polish
where /o/ raising to [u] before voiced codas is rendered opaque by
obstruent devoicing), but most of the cases I've come across seem to have
lexical exceptions. If anyone knows of any languages with phonological
opacity with NO lexical exceptions, I would greatly appreciate being
pointed in the right direction. I'll post a summary of the resulting
comments.

Thanks!
