The University of Groningen, Netherlands, has announced a special
program to attract excellent foreign graduate students who wish to conduct
PhD research projects in Linguistics.

The Center for Language and Cognition Groningen (CLCG) is a research
institute of the Arts Faculty of the University of Groningen.
Groningen Linguistics revolves around European languages (Germanic, Romance,
Slavic and Finno-Ugric), including the Dutch languages Frisian and Lower
Saxon. Applications of linguistics in language teaching, communications
and computational linguistics are actively pursued, and a special focus
is sought in the cognitive neurosciences, including psycholinguistics and
aphasiology. We are interested in attracting excellent graduate students
to participate in this 4-year program.

See CLCG's web site (www.let.rug.nl/clcg/, esp "Positions" and "Graduate

Study" for further details, incl. financial details and how to apply.
Applications will be accepted until Sept. 10.
