The University of Trento and ITC-Irst (Istituto per la Ricerca
Scientifica e Tecnologica) announce the availability of 3-year PhD
positions on "Information and Communication Technologies".

Of particular interest for users of this list might be the possibility
of applying for positions in the "Human Language Technology", and
"Pattern Recognition" areas, directly financed by ITC-Irst.

Applications for the PhD positions are invited from candidates,
regardless of sex, age and nationality, who have an Italian "laurea"
or equivalent degree qualification obtained abroad.

The PhD program benefits from the multidisciplinary expertise of the
teaching staff and the availability of a range of laboratories. Thus
the PhD programme offers candidates the chance to acquire advanced
skills in specific research fields and collateral sectors.

Applications must be received by August 10th 2001.
