Qualified individuals are invites to apply for a postdoctoral
fellowship in Computational Linguistics.

The fellowship is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities
Research Council of Canada and provides an annual stipend of $35,000
per year, renewable. A qualified candidate should hold a Ph.D degree
in an area of Computational Linguistics and have experience in
syntactic parsing, preferably principle-based parsing, Minimalist
Program.  Technical experiences with C/C++ and Unix/Linux on
Sun/Window platforms are preferable. The successful candidate will
join the UQAM research team in collaboration with Princeton, UCLA and
MIT researchers to develop a model of parsing based on the recovery of
natural language asymmetries. See the UQAM homepage for a summary of

The fellowship is expected to start between now and October 1.
