The Research Institute Centre for Language and Cognition Groningen
CLCG) has an opening for one graduate student in the field of Frisian
Linguistics. The task of the position is:

- to carry out the PhD project 'the syntax of the complementizer
system in Frisian, leading to a doctoral dissertation, or;
- to carry out a PhD project leading to a doctoral dissertation, based
on an own proposal. This proposal has to fit the profile of the
research institute CLCG.

Profile:
- graduate in Frisian linguistics, or graduate in a field that
prepares for research in the above mentioned research field.

The Rijksuniversiteit Groningen offers the recipient of graduate
student stipends a gross salary beginning at NLG 3,242 per month in
the first year and rising to NLG 4,362 in the last year. Graduate
students receive a contract for one year extendible for three further
years subject to evaluation after one. The research project has to
lead to a Ph.D. dissertation.
