I am looking for a set of German rainbow passages, specifically those
that target the high front vowels in stressed position. At this
point, though, I would appreciate any information about the existence
of such passages.

Subject: use of word initial phonemes in syllable initial position within a non word

I am currently trying to develop a nonword repetition test for a group of
hearing impaired subjects (both cochlear implant and hearing aid users), as
I am interested in investigating how short term auditory memory function may
influence spoken language development in these groups. I am basing the
development of this test on samples of single word productions in these
children. The nature of this data has meant that I am going to have to use
consonants identified as being used in the initial position of the word, in
the syllable initial position within the multisyllabic non words that are to
be developed. I am aware that this is not an ideal situation and have being
trying to find literature to support this strategy. I was hoping that I
would be able to get some advice concerning this from the linguistlist.

Thank you for your help,

Yours
