Fellman Family.

"Le fonds Lapponica des Fellman" is a detailed catalogue of the
Lapponica Collection donated to the Finno-Ugrian Society by the
Fellman family. The collection contains monographs, extracts,
booklets, maps, periodicals, and other publications concerning Lapland
and the Sami people, the earliest being from the 16th century. A great
deal of this literature, which includes ABC-books (spellers),
calendars, almanacs, Bible translations, grammars, dictionaries,
linguistic studies, and novels, is written in the Sami
language. Capdeville also gives biographical information about the
authors represented in the collection. Illustrated.

"Facing Finnic" features papers by twelve linguists interested in the
complicated relationships within the Finnic group and its contacts
with neighbouring Indo-European languages. These twelve authors
challenge and re-evaluate the gaps and biases often found in the
traditional literature, by looking at it in a new light, expressing
their views from perspectives of linguistic disciplines like
grammaticalisation theory, typology, and sociolinguistics. The papers
were first presented in the symposium "Facing Finnic" held at the
International Conference of Uralic Languages in Tartu, Estonia in
