The Cognitive Science Program at the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill invites applications for positions as Postdoctoral
Fellows, to begin in July 2001.  These positions are supported jointly
by the Cognitive Science Program and by the home Departments of
faculty performing research in the Cognitive Sciences.

The positions will provide the opportunity to engage in scholarly
research, participate in activities of the Cognitive Science Program,
and contribute to the teaching and/or research missions of one of the
related Departments.

Applicants should submit a personal statement describing their
research qualifications and goals in cognitive science.  This
statement should indicate the ways in which UNC-Chapel Hill would be
an appropriate place to pursue those goals, giving particular
attention to how the goals relate to ongoing research at UNC-CH.  In
addition applicants should submit the following non-returnable
materials: curriculum vitae, up to 5 reprints or preprints, and 3
letters of reference to:
