The Division of English Language and Cultures at Hanyang
University-Ansan seeks a full-time faculty member to teach
British/American culture and English conversation. Expected teaching
load is 9 hrs per week. Appointment begins September 01, 2001.

Application Procedures

1. Preliminary Screening
For the preliminary screening, please submit a cover letter and
curriculum vitae to the Office of Academic Affairs, Hanyang University,
17 Haengdang-dong, Seongdong-ku, Seoul 133-791, Korea or send electronic
versions of them to seojs003 at ihanyang.ac.kr no later than May 31, 2001,
5:00 p.m. Please include the following information in your CV: (i)
educational background, (ii) teaching (job) experiences (dates, course
titles, and institutes) (the most recent 7 only), (iii) the list of your
published work since September 1, 1997 (dates, titles, number of authors
for coauthored papers, journal names (indicate if they are listed in
SCI, SSCI, or A&HCI; check at http://www.isinet.com), volumes, pages,
publishers), (iv) research projects since Sep. 1, 1997 (representative 4
only, titles, number of participants, funds, and your position), and (v)
your address, phone number, and e-mail address. The applicants who pass
the preliminary screening will be individually notified through e-mails
by June 22, 2001.

2. Screening

Candidates who pass the preliminary screening are to submit the
following documents to the Office of Academic Affairs, Hanyang
University, 17 Haengdang-dong, Seongdong-ku, Seoul, 133-791 Korea, no
later than June 30, 2001, 5 p.m.

a. application form (prescribed; downloadable at the homepage) with
your photo (1 copy)
b. publication list (prescribed; list only the publication to be
submitted) (2 copies)
c. all your publication during the past four years (since September 1,
1997) listed in b; thesis for your final degree should be included. (1
copy each)
d. official transcripts and carbon copies of diplomas (both under and
graduate) (1 copy each)
e. proofs of job experiences (1 copy each)
f. a recommendation letter (from your advisor or a professor in your
area) (1 copy)
g. checklist (prescribed) (1 copy)

Successful candidates will be notified on July 30, 2001. If you have
