We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Hi,
Can anyone point me to the different existing standards and procedures
for measuring a speaker's (dis)fluency index or (dis)fluency rate (to
assess how fluent a speaker is)?
Thanks,
Gina

Dear Linguists,
I will be teaching a new course, Language of the Law, and would very
much appreciate your help. Could you please recommend an up-to-date
textbook? If that is not possible, do you know of any recent studies
relevant to this topic? Since I will be sort of team-teaching this
course with lawyers, I would need a text that includes recent studies on
the language of Cyberlaw. Please e-mail me at
Sotillos at mail.montclair.edu
Thank you,
Susana Sotillo,
