East Tennessee State University, located in the Appalachian Mountain
region, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant
professorship in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)/Applied
Linguistics.  The successful candidate will teach graduate courses in
a newly proposed M.A. TESL program, including TESL theory and
methodology, second/foreign language acquisition, and language
testing.  Twelve-hour teaching load will also include linguistic
courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, freshman composition
for international students, and sophomore literature courses.  Other
responsibilities include research, service, and advising.
