Tenure-track Assistant Professor in English Language Studies / English
Linguistics.  To begin Fall 2002.  Responsibilities will include
teaching upper-division courses in history of the English language and
in modern grammar, as well as lower-division and graduate-level
courses in the field of specialization.  Preference will be given to
candidates with research and teaching interests in at least one field
of English-language or world literature.  Preference will be given to
candidates with competence in computer-mediated teaching.  Ph.D. by
August 2002 is required.  Located in the Dallas / Ft Worth
metropolitan area, UTA is a Doctoral / Research University- Extensive
that offers both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in English.
