Concordia University's Department of Classics, Modern Languages and
Linguistics invites applications for a one-term limited term
appointment in Linguistics from January 1, 2002 to May 31,
2002. Teaching responsibilities will include the second semester of
Introduction to Linguistic Science (2 sections) and a course in
Linguistic Field Methods (with a native speaker informant). Experience
in working with non-Indo-European languages (particularly an
Austronesian language) will be an asset for this course.

Applicants must have a completed or near-completed PhD and an active
research profile. Teaching experience in the field is required.
