Alliance Translation Services is seeking highly qualified language
translators and localizers to serve on an "as needed"
freelance basis in ONE of the following languages and English:

Yupik
Inuktitut
Innuinaqtun
Haitian Creole
Papiamento
Quiché
Aymara
Navajo

Positions:

As a freelance translator you will serve on an "as needed" basis for
the source and target language(s) noted. The frequency of the projects
you will receive is based on external factors and our clients' needs
for the identified source and target languages.  Your contract fees
will be negotiated on a "per project" basis depending on the length
and content of the assignment.

Requirements:

You should have native fluency in both English and one of the other
languages noted on this announcement. Although university-level
training is helpful, it is not required with prior translation
experience.  Provincial or governmental certification in a plus for
Canadian and other non-US applicants and should be noted on your
resume.

The applicant should have a comfortable working knowledge of a variety
of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Adobe PageMaker, etc) and
the specialized fonts (if any) required for the languages in this
announcement. A personal computer with Internet access is a
requirement.

In addition to the language and application skills noted, the
applicant, if selected for confidential assignment through our
clients, will need to install and become familiar with the use of
