We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was

would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

Dear Linguists,

I'm looking for corpora of spoken British English, which include
Lectures of social science and natural science and each of them
containing more than 100,000 words.

Please suggest a good way to get hold of such corpora.

Thank you

Josephine Lo

Subject: Comparative study of existential constructions

Dear Linguists,

I'm interested in a comparative and a diachronic study of existential
constructions. I'd like some native speakers of Icelandic,
German, Danish and Swedish to make grammatical judgement of some
existential constructions. If you can help my work, please e-mail me
<YukaMakita at aol.com>.

Thanks in advance,
