The "Zentrum fuer Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft,Typologie und
Universalienforschung" (ZAS, see http://zas.gwz-berlin.de) invites
applications for the position of a senior researcher (5 years,
potentially renewable, salary level max. BAT Ib). Applicants are
expected to have a documented research interest in at least one of the
following areas:

-  language typology
-  formal theories of language typology (such as OT)
-  application of theories of morphology, syntax and/or semantics
   in typological studies.

Research and expertise in particular Non-Indoeuropean languages is a
plus. Applicants should have or be prepared to acquire a good working
command of German. They are expected to develop and lead one or more
research projects at the ZAS and to advise research being done at ZAS.
