French Language, Applied Linguistics and French Translation

The Département d'études francaises (School of Languages and
Literatures) of the University of Guelph invites applications for a
tenure-track position in French Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor
beginning January 1, 2002. Duties will include teaching of applied
linguistics, translation and stylistics, as well as French as a second
language, at the undergraduate level. PhD in French Studies or in French
linguistics, publications in the field of interest, native or near-native
fluency in both languages, and language-teaching experience in French are
required. Experience in multimedia and information technology will be
considered an asset. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's
qualifications and experience. Applications consisting of a curriculum
vitae, three letters of recommendation and a selection of teaching
evaluations should be sent before October 31, 2001 to: Dr. Daniel
Chouinard, Director, School of Languages and Literatures, University of
Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, N1G 2W1, Canada.
