TESOL/EFL Instructor Positions
(Native English Speakers)


Konkuk University is looking for ESL/EFL-related instructors to teach
the Konkuk-Illinois Joint TESOL Certificate Program.  The program will
be launched on August 3, 2002.

Instructors will teach second language acquisition and teaching
methodology-related courses.  The prospective students should be
post-graduates who have a strong desire to study and work in an
EFL-related teaching area.

QUALIFICATIONS
MA/ Ph.D. in TESOL/TEFL-related fields or applied linguistics (Ph.D.
preferred). At least one year's experience teaching ESL/EFL
students.

COMPENSATION
40,000,000 won (approx. $30,000 US) on an annual basis

WORKING HOURS
Instructors will teach 15-18 hours/week for 20 weeks each semester
(Fall/Spring).

RENEWAL OF CONTRACT
Contracts will be renewed on an annual basis.

BENEFITS
Housing: Instructors are provided a rent-free, furnished apartment.
Vacation: Instructor's leave is determined by the academic calendar.
Instructors will not generally have any duties between semesters
except when preparing for workshops (approximately 8-10 weeks
vacation) Air Tickets: One round airfare ticket provided (economy
class). Health Care: Standard health and medical insurance covered.
