We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: Syntax of Cuban Spanish

An M.A. student of mine is working on the syntax of Cuban Spanish. We are
therefore looking for

- specific constructions which seem to be restricted to the Spanish spoken
  in Cuba
- constructions present in the syntax of Cuban Spanish which show up in
other (but not in all) varieties of Spanish
- bibliographical references of all sorts with respect to Cuban
Spanish Syntax (even isolated examples in general works of syntax).

Of course we know Kany's "American Spanish Syntax", but there the specific
references to Cuban Spanish are scarce, not always explicit, and, anyway,
most of the subjects he deals with are not syntax proper (but rather
morphology or lexicon related.

We will be grateful for every (even very small) hint and post a summary of
the results.

Yours sincerely

Does anybody know of any kind of published work on Marathi
quantifiers? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
