excessively long.

XI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTING CIC-2002

  - Automatization and Control (AC)
  - Software Technology (ST)
  - Information Systems (IS)
  - Distributed and Parallel Systems (DPS)
  - Virtual Education (VE)
  - Computing Engineering (CE)

INVITED SPEAKERS:

There will be 6 invited talks. Confirmed by today:

  - Balakrishnan Chandrasekaran
       http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/~chandra/
  - Gerhard Ritter
       http://www.cise.ufl.edu/~ritter/
  - others to be confirmed soon

Among our past invited speakers we can mention
Marvin Minsky, Hal Bergel, Isaac Scherson, Frank Dignum,
Herbert Freeman -- just to name a few out of a long list.

PUBLICATION:

In addition to regular proceedings (with ISBN),
a considerable selection of papers will be published
  as a prestigious hardcover book.

PLACE AND EXCURSIONS:

The conf will be held in Mexico City, the 500 year old
ancient cultural capital of the Americas and an excellent
  tourist attraction.

The conf will feature a 2-day excursion program including
excursions to Teotihuacan pyramids and Cacauhamilpa cave.
2000 years old Teotihuacan pyramids are one of the most
impressive and large archeological places in America.
The Cacauhamilpa cave is a 2 km long underground world
(recall Tolkien!) with up to 85 meters high halls and an
underground river flushing from inside the mountain.

Other recommended places to visit include the Historical
Center of the City and the largest in the world Antropological
Museum of Mexico City, which presents a great number of
original monuments of both Aztec and Mayan cultures.

To get an idea of our tourist program, you can visit the
site of another conf that we have organized this Winter,
