Job Description:

As a Speech Recognition Application Developer you will be responsible
for designing, developing and improving solutions in the Call Center
space including but not limited to IVR, Voice Recognition, and Speaker
Verification applications. The incumbent will need to work closely
with the software development team through the full life cycle of
development from design, development, coding, documentation, testing,
installation, and maintenance.  Focus will be on user interface
design, dialogue design, linguistics and the technical requirements
for speech recognition applications.

Job Responsibilities:
-To design, implement and test components of applications according to
defined application requirements.
-Analyze parts of speech that will be integrated into a speech
recognition application.
-Provide expertise in methods for testing the grammar rules to ensure
adequate coverage and quality of speech recognition applications.
-Design and develop user interfaces and dialogues for speech
recognition applications.
-Tune dialogues in speech recognition applications.
-Interface with customers for designing speech recognition
applications, project milestones, and issue resolution.

Job Requirements:
-Computer Science background/experience (BS Computer Science
preferred)
-College Degree in Linguistics or Human Factors (Masters degree
preferred)
-Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, Jscript, VoiceXML)
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to interact effectively with customers and other team members
-2-5 years of experience in speech recognition application development
-Knowledge of speech recognition software platforms

Preferences:
-Experience in procedural programming language (C, C++, Java)
-Natural language processing experience
-Call Center application knowledge
-Experience with Speechworks and/or Nuance speech recognition
platforms
