University of Cincinnati Clermont invites applications for the following
full-time, tenure track position to begin September 1, 2002.

UC Clermont is an open admissions branch campus of the University of
Cincinnati, located in Batavia, Ohio, with an enrollment of
approximately 2,300. The college offers transfer and technical
associate degree programs, certificate options in a variety of
disciplines, workforce training, lifelong learning and cultural
enrichment opportunities. The average teaching load of tenure track
faculty is 12 credit hrs. per quarter which may include evening and/or
Saturday classes and laboratory sessions.  Additional duties include
division/college service, continued professional development and
university/community service.

Salary range, depending on qualifications, is $36,000-$40,000 for the
nine-month academic year. Additional compensation is possible for
overload and summer teaching assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctorate in Foreign/Second Language Education, Applied
Linguistics or a closely related field. The candidate must also have
demonstrated 3 yrs. of teaching excellence a the college
level. Candidate will be expected to teach 100 and 200 level Spanish
language courses. The ideal candidate would also be able to teach
French, English Composition, or especially German. Candidates should
be committed to teaching excellence in the education of
undergraduates.
