We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

In a previous posting, I asked for assistance compiling a
list of movies that show scenes of students and teachers in
the classroom. Thanks to all who have replied so far. (A
copy of my tentative list is included at the end of this
message.)

My intention is to compile a bibliographic resource for ESL
instructors working with international teaching assistants
(ITAs). I hope the final resource will be useful in a number
of ways. Suggestions that I have received so far include:

-an inventory of scenes that show 'good' and 'bad' teaching
styles.
-scenes which show how teaching styles in the US have
changed over time.
-scenes which show how different cultures define 'good'
teaching.
-scenes which show humor in the classroom.
-scenes where teachers adapt to an individual class (away
from their planned lesson).

I would be grateful to you for a) additions to my movie
list, and b) further suggestions about how these
movies/scenes might be helpful in your work with ITAs.

Please respond to me directly: pasmyth at syr.edu

I will post a summary of your replies.

Thanks.

Dear Members,

We are working on Rajasthani Language and Linguistics.
Currently, the work on Rajasthani Grammar is under process.
I am wondering if there has been any recent work done on this
language. Your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lakhan Gusain
