Postgraduate Research Studentships in Speech and Language
Sciences at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.

Applications are invited from graduates with a good first degree in
linguistics, speech and language pathology, psychology, education
and other related subjects (normally at least 2.1 Hons. or
equivalent) who wish to do a PhD in any of the following areas:

normal or impaired human communication processes, including
developmental language and phonological disorders, dyslexia,
aphasia, motor speech disorders, and dementia;

assessment and intervention of communication disorders;

bilingualism and cross-linguistic studies of language acquisition and
disorders;

applied sociolinguistics;

phonetics.

Full or partial scholarships are available to outstanding applicants.
Applicants are invited to consult our website for further information

(www.newcastle.ac.uk/speech). Applicants are also encouraged to
discuss their ideas with a relevant member of staff.
