The Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, is searching for a Visiting Assistant Professor in
Syntax for the academic year 2002-2003. Courses to be taught include
graduate introduction to syntax (second-semester), and a seminar in
current developments in syntactic theory. Candidates who are able to
teach courses in any of the following areas will receive special
attention: Structure of French, computational linguistics,
syntax-semantics interface, morphology-syntax interface, and
sociolinguistics.

The successful candidate must have completed all the requirements for
a Ph.D. in Linguistics. Candidates are requested to submit a
curriculum vita, teaching evaluations, and arrange for three letters
of recommendation to be sent to:
