Second Call for Papers for:

Research in English Language Teaching: An International Conference
King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok,
Thailand
9-11 April 2003

With the increase in the importance of research in ELT, King
Mongkut'sUniversity of Technology Thonburi is organising a
conference on this issue. Aspects focused on include:
- action research and teacher development
- classroom-based research
- language programme oriented research
- linguistic and educational research applicable to ELT
- methods and approaches in research
- the role of research in ELT.

Plenary speakers are:
Michael Hoey (Liverpool University)
Nina Spada (University of Toronto)
Julian Edge (Aston University)
Anne Burns (Macquarie University)
Martha Clark Cummings (University of Aizu)
Samang  Hiranburana (National  Educational  Commission,
Thailand)

Proposals for papers and poster sessions should be sent to
Richard Watson Todd irictodd at kmutt.ac.th  by 20 December
2002 (more details on the website). Preference will be given
to papers providing insights into the nature and process of
research.
