Description:


	As part of our ongoing effort to expand the program in Spanish
and enhance the theoretical and interdisciplinary profile of the
Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (Hispanic and
Italian Studies, French Studies, Slavic and Eurasian Studies), we seek
an Assistant Professor in Spanish Linguistics, or Linguistics with
Spanish data focus.  Preference given to research in Phonology, Second
Language Acquisition, or Semantics.  Interest in serving as TA
supervisor a plus (as is experience in same or in applications of
technology to language learning).

The University at Albany offers a Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics and the
ideal candidate will have an established research profile/potential,
solid teaching credentials, and native or near native fluency in
Spanish.  Send c.v., cover letter, writing sample, and three letters

Position subject to budgetary approval.
