Description:

		Computational Linguist

We are looking for Computational Linguistic Analyst to take the lead
in targeted, corpus-based development of grammars, lexicons, and
heuristic strategies to match human conversational behavior.

Main Responsibilities

· Develop and improve grammars, lexicons, and other linguistic
  knowledge structures, with attention to variations in populations,
  geography, and domain of discourse.

· Discourse analysis, including analysis of natural variation in
  motivation, intent, and conversational style.

· Design, specify, and use corpus analysis and manipulation tools.

· Specify, maintain, and use linguistic corpus data.

Job Requirements

· Strong post-graduate training in linguistics and work experience in
  applied linguistics or Natural Language.

· Fluent in English, other languages a plus. Familiar with North
  American dialects and phonetics.

· Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal.

· Ability and experience in using building high-level programming
  tools, for example, scripts for data analysis and selection.

· Experience in actual grammar, lexicon, or other Natural Language
  Programming development.

· Energetic and self-managed. Able to seek out problems needing
  solution. Able to manage his or her own time and priorities and to
  coordinate and manage human and other resources to best achieve
  short- and long-term goals.
