Description:

The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Linguistics, invites
applications for a tenure stream faculty position, open rank,
beginning fall 2003, pending budgetary approval. Applicants must have
a solid training in linguistic description and analysis in Hispanic
linguistics, as well as competence in one or more of the following
areas: multilingualism, first language acquisition, psycholinguistics,
sociolinguistics, or a specialization that complements the current
research profile of the department. Preference will be given to
candidates with language breadth and/or expertise in computational or
quantitative methodologies, and a solid track record directing
doctoral dissertations.

Candidates should send a CV (including a list of funded research if
applicable), a statement of research and teaching interests, copies of
2 reprints or other written work, teaching evaluations (required). At
least three reference letters must be sent directly to the search
committee.
