We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: information on TESOL programs

My department is trying to start up a TESOL certificate program for
our graduate students and the Dean wants information on student
enrollment in comparable programs at other universities as well the
number of faculty that teach in those programs.

Is there a central place to find this information? Would faculty in
these programs be willing to email me this information? I'd appreciate
any help in getting this information.

Thanks

I'm trying to find references to issues relating to hierarchical
phrases, such as A is a "member of" or "attribute of" B. Any
references to this from linguistics or cognitive schema formation
would be greatly appreciated.

  Thanks in advance.

John Hansen
