Assistant Professor, tenure track, to begin fall quarter, 2003.
Specialization: Rhetoric and Composition theory, ancillary interest in
linguistics highly desirable.  Experience or training in writing
program administration highly desirable.  The candidate will be
expected to take over the administration of a large writing program;
to teach composition and rhetorical theory and composition pedagogy at
the graduate level; to train, supervise, evaluate, and advise graduate
teaching associates.  The candidate may teach some linguistics courses
and some general education literature courses.

Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition or Ph.D. in English with
dissertation in Rhetoric and Composition required.  Teaching
experience required.  Ancillary work in linguistics highly desirable
and ability to teach general education literature courses desirable.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Please
