Expected qualifications:

- PhD in the area of African literature / African linguistics, or
  equivalent publications;
- Candidates are expected to make an independent and innovative
  contribution to the new teaching program and to do productive
  research. They should have good knowledge of an African language,
  fieldwork experience and analysis of primary data.
- Foreign candidates are expected to acquire a working knowledge of
  Dutch within two years.
