Description:

The Department of Linguistics, University of Ottawa, invites
applications for a Tenure track position in formal semantics at the
Assistant Professsor -possibly Associate Professor-level, commencing
July 1, 2003.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in linguistics or related discipline
with evidence of strong research potential. Applications from
candidates who also have a demonstrated interest in other areas of
linguistics are encouraged. Preference will be given to candidates
able to teach courses and supervise students in both English and
French at the undergraduate and graduate levels within a specified
period of time.

Applicants should submit a c.v. and arrange for three (3) letters of
recommendation to be sent to Dr. Andre Lapierre, Chair, Department of
Linguistics, University of Ottawa, P.O. Box 450, Station A, Ottawa ON
Canada K1N 6N5 before December 1st, 2002. All qualified candidates are
encouraged to apply; however Canadians and permanent residents will be
