Description:

The Department of English Language Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean
University, North Cyprus is seeking professors (open rank) with a
specialization in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. This is a
yearly-renewable non-tenure track position effective 15 September
2003, and is contingent upon funding. The contract of the prospective
professor will be renewed on a two-yearly and three-yearly basis after
completing one year of teaching.

Located in Famagusta, North Cyprus, EMU is an English-medium,
multi-cultural, and comprehensive university with an enrollment of
14.500 students and faculty members from over 30 countries. The ELT
department offers BA, MA and Ph.D. degrees.

The teaching load is a minimum of 7 courses per academic
year. Benefits include health care and furnished accomodations.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand by August 2003 in ELT, TESOL or a
