Head of Human Factors in Speech Recognition and Multi-Modality in
London

Join a dynamic small company in the centre of London ushering in a new
era of speech systems, centralised on multi-modal systems for
pervasive computing.  Vox Generation Ltd, founded in 2000, is located
in Trafalgar Square London, and is a highly recognised leader in
Europe for speech recognition and multi-modal systems.  Recently
funded by historically the EU's largest grant 'FASiL' for spoken
language multi-modal systems, Vox has broken the barriers in R&D and
product delivery for tomorrow's pervasive computing solutions.

The role of the Head of Human Factors is to be the visionary lead of
Vox' new product line combining speech recognition, synthesis and
multi-modality.  You will lead and manage a team of Human Factors
Specialists.  Key to the role is customer facing, specification of
product design, functionality, user experience modelling and assurance
that architecture specifications meet desired product definition
requirements.

Work with world-leading speech and computer scientists and developers,
on defining new methodologies and products for pervasive computing.
Be part of a fast-paced delivery oriented company able to push the
envelope on system definitions and deliver competitive advanced
solutions in a rapid scale.  Interface with some of the top research
scientists in the field, and distil their knowledge into working,
saleable and delivered product.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors of Science in Engineering or
Computer Science with Major and Thesis on Human Factors or another
engineering discipline.  Industry experience in Human Factors is
absolutely required and you have deployed highly visible customer
applications in speech.  The individual should have experience with
product development and guide software architecture to support UI
requirements.  The individual will have worked in a world-class
commercial environment on new designs and technical architectures for
speech recognition.  Outstanding opportunity to grow in designing
multi-modal speech based applications.  5 years plus experience
desired.  Individuals who have pursued this work in a Commercial
Research setting also highly desired.
